DEVLOG 2 - Bones, Rigging, Animation

DEVLOG -  Bones, Rigging, Animation

The self study for this week largely focused on simple character creation, rigging and animation.  Troubleshooting rigging errors, learning inverse kinematic, sculpting even loosely accurate human anatomy and trying to recreate how walking actually occurs were some of the joys I was lucky enough to endure during this time.  Despite all this, this was a fun process and I feel my blender skills have largely benefitted because of it.

I began by modelling a lil yeehaw cowboy fella

Cowboy - Created by me

When rigged up Cowboy was behaving strangely, his floating limbs were distorting way out of shape when moved and it was hard to make fluid motion because of it. On top of this.  Cowboy was a lil simple and I wanted to try something a bit more involved. Alas, Cowboy was thrown to the wayside in exchange for another.  I followed this tutorial on how to make a low poly human (Highly Recommend) and instead used this for animation.
